Fresh Powder
It has been a long winter in Minnesota. Cold, windy, and snowy…yet we really haven’t had much for “good” snow.
We get an inch, or two, then the wind kicks up and it blows like crazy.
Sunday night though, we finally got a few inches of nice snow.
Looking back to see if he took me out….it was just my foot…
That’s my boy…fun lovin’, easy going, adventurous, and hard-working all rolled into one!
Bailey and Snowy~Senior Shoot
I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know Bailey this summer.
These are a few of my favorite things about Miss Bailey…
1. She loves horses.
2. She has a great sense of humor.
3. She has a great eye for photography…and she is gorgeous!
4. She can really jump!
My Boy
I just love this picture of my boy. It looks like it should be an ad for….something.
Only, it doesn’t really reflect his personality, because he is most always smiling.
There…that’s more like it.
He has the bestest sense of humor. And a quirky wit.
Often, he and I are the only ones to get the joke. I like it.
~Jake~Sneak Peek, Senior Shoot
How time flies.
Jake is the son of a classmate of mine from middle and high school.
Thanks to modern technology, and social media, we’ve re-connected.
It’s amazing how, with some people, one can go for years without chatting, and then, pick right up where we left off…oh, so many years ago.
Jake, thanks for spending your evening with me.
Shoot for the moon, you have a bright future ahead of you!
4 Wheelin’
This is what my kids ride in their spare time…er, one of the things they ride….
and my husband won’t let us get a trampoline…they’re dangerous, he says.
Tyler~Senior Portraits
After Tyler’s initial senior shoot, we did a quick few shots with his first real tractor…
He bought it when he was 12. I cannot even begin to tell you how strange it is to be taking MY kiddo’s senior pics.
This reminds me so much of back in the day, getting his pics taken in the mall,
every year we hauled his biggest toy tractor along for a prop.
I had a little bit of fun with these, going for the old-fashioned look.
What’s that you say? They didn’t have Oakleys in 1944…?
Love this one…

Anne~Senior Photography~Sneak Peek
I was so looking forward to my shoot with Anne on Saturday. It was supposed to be warm and sunny.
Sadly, it was neither. Well, it was for about an hour in the early afternoon, but by the time it was time for Anne and I to play outside together it was cold, cloudy, and a bit breezy.
Anne, however, was amazing through out it all.
I have this theory about Anne. It all has to do with the spelling of her name.
Because…Anne with an e is quite distinguished….
Such a great smile. Makes my job so easy.
And gorgeous hair!
Kindred spirits.
I have a sneaking suspicion that Anne knows just the book/movie to which I refer…
A few more pictures than I normally put into a sneak peek, but they were just so fun! Thanks Anne, with an e, for spending a cool breezy afternoon with me!
Jon~Sneak Peek~Senior Photography
I love this kid.
He is one of Tyler’s best friends.
It has been a pleasure watching him grow up…
and it certainly was a pleasure shooting his senior pictures.
Thanks for trusting me with your pictures Jon, and…the door is always open!
Nicole…Senior Photography…A Sneak Peek
I first met Nicole a few years ago in 4H.
She is an amazing girl! I love love love her smile,
and her cheerful personality.
The only other thing that I am going to say about our 4H adventures
is, “what happens at the state fair, stays at the state fair.”
I was very happy when she asked me to shoot her senior pictures.
She has the most amazing blue eyes…
Nicole brought along her cow, and her guitar.
I love that!
Thanks so much, Nicole, for spending your evening with me.
You are beautiful!
I still have a few openings for seniors, if you are not already booked somewhere,
give me a call or leave me a comment and I will get ahold of you!!
It’s a Girl!
I had the awesome pleasure of shooting senior pictures for….a girl!
Up to this point, I had only shot boys, so this new adventure was very fun.
And what an amazing young lady she is.
Beautiful,
Fun,
Talented, incredibly…
And sweet.
I believe that this is a hugely important time in the lives of teenagers.
They are looking forward to their futures with excitement.
I love to include some things that are truly special to them in their shoots.
I met Jade through 4H, she is active in a number of project areas, one of which is Horse.
So we included some western flair…
Thanks Jade, for putting your trust in me for these special pictures.
You are amazing!!
Senior Photography
How I enjoy teenagers.
Especially happy ones that I don’t have to parent!
This senior I have known since his elementary days.
I still have a hard time comprehending the fact that he will soon move on.
He happens to be an exceptional teenager.
He is planning to become a missionary.
He went on a missions trip to Venezuela this past summer.
He worked in an orphanage.
He brought this hat home. It has special meaning to him.
Thanks for spending your Saturday morning with me, and enjoy your senior year!
The Shot
Here is a photograph that I love…
and this one is not bad either, though I wish I would have gotten all of his hat brim in the shot.
Such a tough guy.
