The Party!
Our bride and groom opted to not see each other before their ceremony.
We were all thrilled when we finally were able to catch some shots of J and K together…
By the end of the ceremony, it was dark outside, so most of our shots were taken indoors.
and the whole party together.
We took a little detour on our way to the reception,
And finally, The Party!
There were gifts,
there was cake,
and more cake,
there were toasts,
there was kissing…lots of kissing,
and dancing the night away!

All the planning, all the details, it all comes down to this…the most important part of the day.
A young couple, surrounded by family and friends, joining together, with their relationship with Jesus at the heart of their ceremony.
Tears of Joy
I had the awesome opportunity to go up into the balcony for shots during the ceremony.
The Rings…
The Sand…
Prayer…
The Kiss…
The Victory…
The Girls…St. Cloud Mn~Wedding Photographer
Getting ready on the wedding day is such a fun and emotional time. It is really interesting to watch it all play out. The love and friendship between the girls, and between the bride and her mom.
The ever so beautiful dress…
The girls were all such great sports to come outside on our wintry day.
The boys were cold in their long sleeves and jackets, but the girls rocked the day and never complained.
Of course, we had to have a little fun along the way…
and last, the lovely new sisters!
For more shots of the girls, and they guys, visit my partner’s blog too!
The Boys
I’ve photographed a few wedding in my time, and this same group of boys have been in several.
What an amazing group of young men!
It is fun to see them “in action” together, and taking care of each other.
There were {a few} serious moments,
but mostly…well, not.
This is the kind of thing that happens when they are asked to help the groom get ready…that “taking care of each other” part.
And then, there is the gun. In my experience, if there is a Derek, there is a gun.
Once the boys were good and frozen,
we sent them for a little walk to loosen them up again,
before grabbing a couple last shots outside.

Weddings, oh I love weddings!
April and I shot our last wedding of 2012 in December.
It was a cool Minnesota day, but we had nice sunshine for most of it.
We started off bright and early with the bride’s hair appointment.
then headed to the church to catch some of the details of the day…
the bride’s bouquet was simply gorgeous!
and the rings, classically beautiful.
The church was all dressed up for Christmas, so we had to take advantage…
Ice Castle
I took a few shots of the little ice castle in Spicer yesterday.
One of these days, when it is no longer 5 degrees below zero for the high for the day, it will be fun to take the kids to see it.
Chore Time
Sawyer is in the bin, scooping up corn to fill the skidloader bucket.
The bossies watch, and wait. And occasionally moo directions.
Hank waits for the gate to open so that he can “help.”
And yes, I know, his name is not Hank. It’s Azzie…or Rodeo. Depending on who is talking to him…or hollering at him. He likes to bark. All. Night. Long.
But, back to chores…
Into the skidloader,
back up,
close the bin,
latch the door,
into the skidloader,
drive across the frozen tundra to the cow yard,
open the gate,
drive through while Hank chases the cows back,
get out,
close the gate while chiding the photographer, {who may or may not have been shooting this saga from the warmth of her car}
climb back in,
and around the corner to dump the corn into the bunk.
The End.
Pretty Skies
The skies were pretty this afternoon when I went out to take my Project 365 shot.
I can’t help but notice that the snow is not so pretty anymore. Though I am not a “snow lover,” a fresh foot or so would certainly make it pretty again.
It would make the snowmobilers happy too. With our recent “warm” day, and the rain we had, there is not much snow left.
Momma…
I can’t go to school today, I still have a tummy ache…
Guess who went to school the very next day…?!
Guilt.
It’s a terrible thing.
Makes your hears hang low,
your tail droop, and your feet drag.
Worse yet, the begging for forgiveness part…
“Please don’t be mad. I promise I won’t go on the road anymore…when you can see me.”
One Frosty Morn…
An old wives tale says that 6 months after a frosty morning like we had today, it will rain.
I shall try to remember to notice if it rains on June 5th…
