I Heart Faces “Pet” Photo Challenge
We have so many pets around the farm, that I was a bit overwhelmed with the thought of choosing a photo for this contest…but then, I shot a senior session, and thought this sweet, and fun shot would fit the bill perfectly!
The Party!
Our bride and groom opted to not see each other before their ceremony.
We were all thrilled when we finally were able to catch some shots of J and K together…
By the end of the ceremony, it was dark outside, so most of our shots were taken indoors.
and the whole party together.
We took a little detour on our way to the reception,
And finally, The Party!
There were gifts,
there was cake,
and more cake,
there were toasts,
there was kissing…lots of kissing,
and dancing the night away!
The Wedding~St. Cloud Mn Wedding Photographer
All the planning, all the details, it all comes down to this…the most important part of the day.
A young couple, surrounded by family and friends, joining together, with their relationship with Jesus at the heart of their ceremony.
Tears of Joy
I had the awesome opportunity to go up into the balcony for shots during the ceremony.
The Rings…
The Sand…
Prayer…
The Kiss…
The Victory…
Chore Time
Sawyer is in the bin, scooping up corn to fill the skidloader bucket.
The bossies watch, and wait. And occasionally moo directions.
Hank waits for the gate to open so that he can “help.”
And yes, I know, his name is not Hank. It’s Azzie…or Rodeo. Depending on who is talking to him…or hollering at him. He likes to bark. All. Night. Long.
But, back to chores…
Into the skidloader,
back up,
close the bin,
latch the door,
into the skidloader,
drive across the frozen tundra to the cow yard,
open the gate,
drive through while Hank chases the cows back,
get out,
close the gate while chiding the photographer, {who may or may not have been shooting this saga from the warmth of her car}
climb back in,
and around the corner to dump the corn into the bunk.
The End.
Pretty Skies
The skies were pretty this afternoon when I went out to take my Project 365 shot.
I can’t help but notice that the snow is not so pretty anymore. Though I am not a “snow lover,” a fresh foot or so would certainly make it pretty again.
It would make the snowmobilers happy too. With our recent “warm” day, and the rain we had, there is not much snow left.
Guilt.
It’s a terrible thing.
Makes your hears hang low,
your tail droop, and your feet drag.
Worse yet, the begging for forgiveness part…
“Please don’t be mad. I promise I won’t go on the road anymore…when you can see me.”
One Frosty Morn…
An old wives tale says that 6 months after a frosty morning like we had today, it will rain.
I shall try to remember to notice if it rains on June 5th…
Play Time~Paynesville Mn Family Photographer
I love it when moms and dads play with their kids during a shoot.
This family was so fun. The leaves were pretty fun too.
Fall is a great time for a family shoot!
L+D~Wedding Party Part 2
We found this old building in Lake Elmo…not far from the Event Center.
It made a great spot to grab some shots! These are from just after the ceremony.
What an awesomely fun group of young people! As they would be the first to tell you, L and D are blessed to have them in their lives!
Of course, L and D are pretty awesome as well!
Anita Renfroe and Mark Schultz Concert
I tagged along with my friend, April, to this concert. She was the official photographer for Spirit 92.9. I just grabbed a few shots from my seat…and the aisle near my seat.
Oh my, I laughed…a lot. If you’ve never heard Anita Renfroe, look her up on Youtube.
She says all the things that we all think, but would never say out loud.
At least not in a crowded room.
And the crowd was really into Mark Schultz’s music. I bet you could find a sampling out on Youtube as well.
Fall “Rain”
The last rain that we have had was 1.5 inches in mid-July.
We had a couple of drizzly, dreary days last week, but it still didn’t actually rain.
Fall is slowly coming to an end, but I am still holding out hope for a nice November before winter sets in!
Handsome Boy~Family Photography
This little guy was an amazing sport.
He played along on our imaginary adventures so perfectly.
His eyes are as stunning as his sisters,
and that smile…
So much fun!
Fall Mums
We’ve had several hard frosts this last week in central Minnesota, so most of my flowers are done for the season.
I have a few planted mums that are hanging in there, and a few potted mums that I remembered to take into the house for the cold nights.
Nicole~Senior Photography
It seems that yesterday was my day for shooting cows.
Well, photographing, not shooting.
That wouldn’t be right…
though I do enjoy a good burger.
Sorry Nicole.
Let me restate that. I do enjoy a nice refreshing shot of milk in my coffee!
These are just a few shots to finish out Nicole’s shoot from earlier this summer.
And a couple sibling shots…
Hope!
Alan used to always tell me that farming was about hope.
“They can’t take away my hope,” he’d say.
“If I ever loose my hope, then I’d better quit,” he’d say.
Hope for good planting weather.
Hope for rain.
Hope for warm sunny days.
Hope for good prices, and hope for good marketing decisions.
Hope for good yields.
Hope for a safe harvest season.
Clearly, he still has hope…
YSA Presets+Flowers
Except, this time, I didn’t keep track of which presets I used.
If you want to know though, just ask in the comments,
and I will look back in my LR history.
Love that.
And love these B&W’s!
Daisy and YSA
I recently purchased a set of presets from Yellow Sky Actions. It was a huge set. Lots of black and white presets, basic presets, color presets, and vignettes. Also included were a series of brushes.

Project 365 Extras
Sometimes it’s hard to only post one pic…
Other days, one is just enough!
Here are a few extras that I like:
